Notes from host families.

 

~ Our student was so much fun.  She loved most of the food we made.  She was interested in the type of TV shows people watch in Canada, she says she will watch them in Spain if she can.  She got along perfectly with my friends, it was like she already knew them.  She was eager to teach us some recipes.  There was a lot of laughing in our house.  She was a delight to have with us and she will be missed.  "She was the perfect match for us."

 

~ This has been the most positive experience I have really ever had.  We were nervous about having a teenager in our home, wondering how he would fit in... but really, we couldn't have hoped for better.  Our stuent fit into our family like he'd always been there.  We are very sad to see him go, but we know we'll see him again.  And for sure we will be a host family again!

 

~ It was a delight to share our lives with XXX through the student program.  Her command of English was quite good and she was very willing to teach us Spanish.  She fit in well with our family and was not afraid to try new things.  We would gladly host another student and highly recommend the experience!

 

~ We had a really good experience and my girls and their friends also had a great experience.

 

~ Every one of us was enriched culturally by having our Spanish student with us.  One month was a very short time.  We want her to stay for much longer.

~ Hosting is a great experience for both the student and hosts.  You will learn, adjust and have fun understanding another culture.  I thoroughly enjoyed hosting my student and the program was well organized.

 

~ We were a bit nervous and worried about whether we "could be all our student was anticipating or expecting".  All our worries calmed immediately when we met our student and saw what a great match Schoolhouse has made.  It was a memorable time and we would definitely do it again.
